For Better Life, Keep Your Interests Alive

Interests and choices has a great co-relation between them. Our interests leads us to choices and those choices leads us to results in our life.

But what happens when we misunderstood our interests or neglect them and make some wrong choices?

Well, it sounds scary and believe me the results can be more scary.

Nowadays, people are getting more confuse when it comes to take decisions and make choices for their lives. This includes people from all age groups.

For example – kids making choices for their further studies, adults making choices for their careers and so on.

But what is affecting their decisions so much when it is clear to them what are their interests?

Answer is, influence over their interest!

We all have people around us who likes to give suggestions regarding our lives which is not a bad thing. Though, sometimes these suggestions can alter or influence the other person’s interests which results in wrong choices.

To make my point clear, I would like to share my own experience with you.

When I was in school, I used to hate Science because it was not my cup of tea. I had no interest in studying Science. On the other hand, my family wanted me to opt for Science as my main stream in 11th standard.

It was very depressing for me to make them understand my point of view though my mother was on my side. But the outside influence on me and my father forced me to at least try for this.

in 10th standard, I studied Science very hard and magically or forcefully, I developed a strong interest in that. Finally the time came and I chose Science as my main stream.

But now when my 11th standard starts, reality blew me so hard. It was totally different from what I’ve studied in previous classes.

Reality was very hard and bitter for me. I tried my best and completed my higher studies.

Now it was the ‘Show Time – Time for Graduation.’

I chose B.Sc Physical Science for my further studies because I did well in my higher studies.

This time, realization slapped me on my face very hard. Believe me that slap was hard to digest.

Then I realized that I am done and I ruined my life by opting Science.

This disaster happened to me because the interest I developed in Science was not natural or real. It was just a temporary interest and temporary things gradually fades away.

And that’s exactly what happened with me. The suggestions people gave me influenced my interests and choices and I let it happen.

Though somehow I completed my graduation but did not continue any further in Science. I went for my interests this time and started writing and doing things in which I have genuinely interest.

Moral of this post is never neglect your interest and never let people affect your choices. If you are sure of your choices than stand the ground firm and do what you want to do.
